Helping People Hear Again is a non-profit organization (501 (c) 3 status pending) focused on the refurbishment of donated used hearing devices and re-fitting them for those in need at no cost of any type to the recipients.   PURPOSE:  HPHA provides hearing healthcare to people in need. SERVICES & QUALIFICATION PROCESS:  Individuals who qualify for the HPHA program will receive all hearing health-related services at no charge.  Applicants must be residents of the Coachella Valley; 60-years-of-age or older; financial criteria to be determined through the HPHA application process. Applicants must apply through Desert Samaritans for the Elderly at 760-837-9066 to find out if they qualify. Once they have qualified, an appointment will then be made at Better Hearing Systems for the free hearing evaluation and consultation.  DONATING PROCESS:  HPHA is accepting used hearing devices regardless of their condition to be recycled.  Drop-boxes are located at the customer service desk at all five valley Jensen’s Finest Foods, simply drop as many as you have in one of the boxes.
